This painting is inspired by my first holiday with my fiancé six years ago in Taormina, where we shared breakfast on a balcony overlooking the sea. Coffee granita, Sicilian ricotta cake, chocolate-filled crêpes, cappuccino, golden croissants, and fresh fruit sat in the morning light. The painting captures that quiet moment - simple food, overlooking the Ionian sea, the memory that marked the beginning many holidays together.
